PORTSMOUTH VICTORIA SWIMMING CLUB

Portsmouth Victoria was formed in 1979, originally as a swimming club based at the original Victoria swimming pool in Portsmouth. Since the pool’s closure, Portsmouth Victoria has evolved to specialise in Artistic Swimming keeping its original name with proud links to the city’s history.

As the longest established Artistic Swimming club on the South Coast, over the years, Portsmouth Victoria athletes have achieved many titles, including County and National Champions and represented the South East Region, England and Great Britain. We are current Hampshire Figure Champions 2024, which is the 2nd consecutive year.

Thanks to the wealth of experience and dedication from our coaches and volunteers, our club continues to go from strength to strength, with swimmers competing at all national level competitions and Portsmouth Victoria athletes selected for Regional and GB squads.

PLEASE NOTE: Artistic swimming classes for age 6+ Must be water confident.

Why choose us?

We are a long established and widely regarded club in Portsmouth offering Artistic Swimming to all abilities, with recreational swimming as well as training following our Athlete Development Pathway. This offers our swimmers training in line with Swim England and World Aquatics, preparing them for competing at Regional, National and International levels.

We recommend joining from age 6 and up, as early as possible, as long as your swimmer is able to swim 25m unaided, have achieved LTS level 6 (or equivalent) and are confident in deep water.

While Artistic Swimming is seen as a predominantly female sport, we welcome swimmers of any gender.
